Bacon, Pear & Raspberry Grilled Cheese
My mom always told me to eat my fruits and veggies, but somehow I would always get a grilled cheese out of her after bitching for hours about how I ate all my broccoli the night before. Wouldn’t it be awesome to satisfy her healthy requirements and get your fromage grillé on? Oh, and how about adding some bacon, too—that’s healthy, right? Of course it is! This raspberry bacon grilled cheese is probably the best thing I’ve had since well, a regular grilled cheese. Why are you still here? Get cooking!
What you need
4 slices sturdy, grainy wheat bread
3 tablespoons raspberry preserves
1/4 cup thinly sliced red pear
8 slices cooked bacon
4 slices Muenster cheese
1-2 tablespoons butterHow you make it
-Preheat griddle or panini press to medium-high heat.
-Assemble 2 sandwiches in this order: bread, 1 1/2 tbs. preserves, pear, 4 slices bacon, 2 slices cheese, bread.
-Spread butter on top and bottom of sandwich and grill for 4-8 minutes, or until cheese is melted and top is golden brown.Mmmmm…Cheeeeeesy.
Mmmmmmmmmm!!
Coffee And A Camera
I’m a Canon shooter myself (I own the Canon 70-200mm version of this mug), but PhotoJoJo.com just released their new Nikon Coffee Tumblrs—and I love them! They look so much like real camera lenses that people won’t know the difference…until they see you sipping coffee out of them.
Know any photo geeks? Then I’ll tell you a secret: this is exactly what they want for their birthday/wedding/graduation/bat mitzvah present. Promise.

DIY Everything
The reason I love this is the sheer lack of will to “buy” anything. This room should inspire you, as it does me, to go to a thrift store/dump/consignment store/goodwill, find something ugly and make it beautiful. Go out and create!
